Curriculum Vitae

Personal Statement:
My name is Elijah Cooke. I am a year eight student at Burnham Primary School currently employed at a mail delivery service. I am a loyal person to others. Food tech is my favourite subject because it is fun to create cool things from raw materials.

Strengths:
I have a strong strength in adapting to different environments, for example, I took up coding for the first time and within five minutes I could colour, shape, size, outline and fill a background with any colour I wish. I play soccer at school quite well which means I am a good team player for a lot of sport. One of my stronger hobbies is baking, it is a science, mostly chemistry. I find it fun to bake food for others and myself.

Achievements:
When I was a year six I was awarded the Academic Excellence Award at Darfield Primary School. In the following year I was given a mathematical award at Burnham Primary School. During my life I have been awarded a number of certificates from school for achievement and other categories. I have also won first place in the under five section of a Lego show when I was four in Palmerston North.

Captain Taniwha - What happens next?

Darkness engulfs the ship, the shark rips apart the 1st layer of 10 power glass, sparing only 2 layers. Cracks render in the 2nd sheet, probably from the water pressure. Taniwha flicks a series of switches, launching the plasma torpedoes. They do their work as bright blue clouds force their way into exsistence, replacing the shark. The explosion knocks the ship backwards, finishing the 2nd layer of glass and puncturing the 3rd.

Water pours in and Taniwha leaps into action. He flicks multiple switches and a sheet of metal wraps itself around the glass where it's been breached, his hand falls down on the glowing button labeled "All Terrain." The iron engine powers down, replaced by a row of thrusters. The high beam lights flicker into life and the ship throttles forward. Blood splatters on the cockpit meaning only one thing, Taniwha is a good shot with the torpedoes.

3, 2, 1 .... LAUNCH!!!

Print Making

#1. I created my stamp by cello taping my photo to the empty meat tray and pushing down with a pencil on the lines that separate hair from my face and my hair from the background etcetera.

#2. To make a print you need a roller to spread ink, a roller to push the print down, a piece of paper to put the print on. Ink to spread on the stamp and a stamp to put the ink on.

#3. I didn't like how my eyes were really hard to see and my hair broke off a bit.

#4. If I could change anything I'd make my eyes more defined.

The Explosive Chicken Nuggets

Sean and Steve floated up as if they were a kids balloon.  Over the past few days the boys got really hungry, then suddenly they heard blades ripping at the sky and knew it was a dragonfly of mankind. Luckily Sean and Steve had a near miss with the helicopter but they still continued to rise.

They started to get cold although they were in intense daylight. They knew this meant they were near the end of the atmosphere. They saw a small dot along the horizon and it was growing rapidly, even with their ears popped they could still make out the roaring engine of a plane. The plane was soaring in their direction and it didn't have enough time to swerve away.

The boys didn't have enough energy to get out of the way. The plane veered to the left but the wings were still in the way. The engines got louder and closer to the kids, they felt a force pulling them into the spinning machines. They gave up and got ripped to shreds by a Malaysian Airlines Airbus.
